Although having crab in the name this restaurant has a lot of other very good menu items as well. The crabs can be very meaty, but call ahead and see what sizes they have and for prevailing prices. They also have good fried chicken.

We were there on Labour Day. The were several seats in the frot but they waanted to sit us in the back by the restrooms. When we asked if we could sit in the many open tables in the front, we were toldd they were reserved. I was ready to leave but my husband spoke to a manager, who was able to seat us in one of the "reserved" spots.
We ordered the all you can eat crabs. To my amazement the food was really good. For $37 we got medium crabs that were seasoned with the sweetest white meat. The all you can eat corn on the cob was excellent as well. Surprisingly so was the chicken. The hushpuppies were dry.
I plan to go again in the end of September to se if the quality of the food is the same. This time i will make reservations.
First time going and will be back. My kids could not get enough of the fried chicken. Crabs are perfectly cooked.
The blue crab is the best place near the beach for all you can eat crabs, shrimp chicken. The owner is the nicest guy you will meet and goes out of his way to please each and every customer. The new Oyster bar is great and oysters come out any way you want them repaired A+++++++++++++++++++
Will return again and again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do not order the king alaskan crab LEG..you get a single crab leg for $16, no sides or anything. I ordered a tropical "rum" punch at the bar and it was made with whiskey. Very disapointed as this is the only crab restaurant within walking distance. Even after showing how disapointed I was to the bartender, there was no follow up w/management and no compensation on our bill. I will never go back or recomend to anyone.
Went there a few days ago and had a great meal! The warm potato chips with a horseradish dip to start were awesome, and the portions of the crab/shrimp saute and snow crab legs were large and filling. Wasn't too crazy about the buffalo shrimp, but the sides of hush puppies, mac and cheese and potatos were good too. Would definitely return!
We sure were hoping The Blue Crab was going to be good and I bet a lot of the time it is. Things just didn't click for us. Maybe because the waitresses just arrived in country and were rusty, or it was crowded... kids ordered fried chicken and got chicken tenders, we just shrugged and told them to eat it, mussels app really had no broth and was barely warm, food came out fast and the anticipated crabcakes were really just so-so... Once the restaurant was full and the waitresses slammed, paying and leaving took way too long and ruined it. We may give it another go later in the season.
