BETHANYRESTAURANTS.COM REVIEW
This was a steak house located in the Giant Food shopping center on Rt 26 in Millville, but has a new name for 2010 ( 26 ) and menu. We have not had a chance to eat here since the revamp so we have not yet reviewed, but hope to do so shortly. Our ratings are therefore outdated and were based on prior visits.

We had dinner there Sat night with another couple. We all ordered "steak and cake" and it was very good. We also got a special app (stuffed mushrooms) and that was good also. The service was good, but we dined early, around 5:45. There was a special dessert (bread pudding) on the menu and it was excellent.

My family and I went for dinner and was disappointed. My husband order fish and chips and received 1 piece of fish over a pile of chips. The oysters at the raw bar were ok, I have had better. I had ordered one of the specials and there was and over powering flavor of vinegar. This was our first and last time at Steakhouse 26. The only good thing about our meal was our server Sara she was very nice and accommodating.

My wife and I had been to Steakhouse 26 7-8 times over the last couple of years. In the past the food and service were very good. Tonight however was different story. The Buffalo Oysters and the Calamari were not good and used to be our favorite starters. The Tuna not good and the Day Boat Scallops were under cooked. We were also brought the wrong entree. The Margaritas and coffee were very good. We live here and drove up from O C because we used to really like this place.

Finally had a chance to eat here last night at the raw bar. Overall, service and food were very good. I really liked the 1/2 lobster appetized which I had for a meal. The wife had the fish and chips which were also very lightly breaded and good. We both had clams from the steamer and a wedge salad. Very enjoyable meal and with little noise.

We had a really good dinner there last night. We had some kind of cheese app (I can't remember the name but it was almost like a soft mozz with tomatoes). It was awesome. My husband had the veal special and I had the pork chop. It was prepared perfectly. We sat at the oyster bar because it's quieter than the main bar. The service is good and the place is clean. We'll definitely be back.

Good food. I thought the oysters were fresh and the variety was good. Good prices all around. The dining area usually has pretty good service. I'll recommend you don't eat at the bar. I have a couple times and on both occasions the bartenders seemd annoyed and put out when you order food.

I have been going to 26 for a year now. I have NEVER been disappointed! The new raw bar is trendy and fun. The food is always the best it could be.I love seafood and it is always presented in its best showcase.I love that they are evolving because we need to keep our Bethany "guests" in Bethany! If you get a chance visit Kate at the bar...she will make you feel welcome and take care of you! Ask her about fish she really knows her stuff! Do yourself a favor and go treat yourself!

Oysters were lukewarm, served on a few ice chips and were poorly shucked (still attached to shell/shell pieces in w/oysters/liquor drained). The MD crab soup was watery and tasteless. Had to pick out pieces of brown wilted greens from the salad. The veggie was asparagus - how odd w/all the fresh local veggies available locally right now. On the + side, the crabcake was really pretty good. Too many -'s, so I won't be back.

Table of 3 for dinner 7/6/10. Mahi Mahi tasted good but very small portion for a dinner service. Fish and chips consisted of a very small piece of fish and a ton of french fries. ALL the vegetables were under-cooked. I like my vegies crisp but this was raw and they were all served COLD. The server explained that it was hot outside so their new 'executive chef' choose to serve them cold. They should have explained that on the menu. NOT WORTH THE MONEY!

Sat at the raw bar last night, oysters were good, requested regular cocktail suace which was nice and spicy. Have to sya I do like the way they serve oysters at fins with 3 sauces better. Clam pan roast was good, food mostly average but stick with things like lobster special and this good be a good place to go.

I've not made it to the new 26 yet (next week maybe) but it has to be an improvement over Steakhouse: we tried one night to get the bar menu. Yes, it was after the specific hours but hey, the place was empty and rather than serve us what they had to have in the kitchen, they let us walk. A second visit gave us a waiter who insisted that the chef had paired correctly what we wanted, and grudgingly allowed a different vegetable, but repeatedly told us that the "pairing is determined to be appropriate". Poor me, I wanted unmatched food! A third trip was better, with a waitress advising our son that one of his selections was a great favorite, but the chef whose specialty that was was not working that night and recommended something else. All three meals were very good.

Went here after the changeover to 26. Overall, we think an improvement has been made in the quality of the food and service, but we do miss some of the steak dishes and other prior menu items. Have not yet tried the new raw bar.

My husband and I go pretty ofteen. We live close and it's a good stop for food and refreshments. The menu has changed. I wish they would bring the chicken chesapeke back. It was great. Most of what I've had so far was good. I agree with the other review tha tcocktale sause isn't good with the oysters. I wish they would break the wall through and make it one big bar THINK 26!!!!!

I used to like this place when it was Steakhouse 26 now with this new menu and theme .It has lost its appeal it goes way down on my list of my dinner and lunch choices after my first and last visit of this new out look

The food is generally good to very good. The preparation of the meats are good and the quality of the meat itself is average to good. However, the occasional dish, such as buffalo shrimp, is not good. They have a nice dining area and a good eat in bar. The service is detailed oriented and good. The manager is always available and pays attention to how diners are doing. The hostess was happy and attentive. One server, however, tried to "sell" us on a salad that we didn't order "I can split it for you no extra charge." Didn't like that. But I think you will enjoy this place.

Really good food. They just changed the menu and we've been back a few times. My husband had the pork chop and it was superb. I had the french dip and it was delicious. The soup was cream of mushroom and it was excellent. It wasn't too heavy. I've had the scallops there a few weeks ago and it was really good. The service is great.

Every time we go here they have changed the menus and the format. Now they are re-vamping the entire restaurant. Some of what we had was good, some was jsut ok, they should rething the cocktail sauce, bbq flavor does not work with raw oysters.
