14 Global is a beautiful new restaurant and it is owned by my hard working best friend Tia Sexton. Not sure who Matt is that was referenced by the previous review. The food is creative and absolutely delicious cooked by chef Shane Kellagher. Tia great job. I am so proud of you and John..
This place is just what Bethany needed!!! With Matt taking over this place serves fantastic exotic drinks and the food is extremely original and DELICIOUS!!!!!!! GO NOW!!!!!!
What can I say about Tia and John and their staff..There is so much talen there. The food is extraordinary. It is hands down the best restaurante in Bethany and the surrounding area are as there as often as possible. it is the best food we have ever eaten. Tia is the best bartender among all the other things she does at one time. Try the dragon some time it is the best....
So very happy to learn they will be open all winter. Had a wonderful evening tonight , combo happy hour specials and oysters from regular specials. Food is really excellent and we love the ever changing variety. Oysters with a horseradish cream, amazing. Jalapenos with ? short rib and something wrapped in bacon, all we could say was OMG! Little bison burgers and mahi tacos, again omg.
Quality is very important to us. Eaten here many times. Have tried many different drinks and food. Always happy with our choices. Love the unusual combos. Don loves the chili threads so much he convinced them to sell him a container. We plan to come back here again and again.
Here I am again. We love the food and the whole concept. we want them to succeed. we live here all year and wish them well. Just due to the small space there is noise and crowding. Tonight we sat at one of 2 "bar tables". Which means the very over worked bartender has to wait on us as well as squeezing all those lemons and lines! C'mon, we love fresh but get a juicer, or juice them in the afternoon. Take those bar tables and give them to a waitress. Then we got sort of crowded out by bar patrons waiting for tables. But yes, the food is really good. Tonight we tried the soft shells-v good, cauliflower is awesome, tacos amazing, and decontructed cheese steak we were happy to have the bread from the dip or that cheese would have been wasted.Just have to give kudos to the bar tender, she really tried hard to do it all!
Lovely place, beautiful stone work and well thought out design. Way too noisy though.
Very good drinks-sit at the beautiful (small) bar and observe how they make the drinks-fresh everything.
Small portions...and a bit pricey for what you get..for those that want quality and originality over quantity.
Next to post office in Bethany. You could walk right by it and not realize it was there.
Interesting to see another review that noted a/c dripping on table. We were at that table, dripped into the wine glass, they did move us but again seated another party there. that being said many of the kinks from our first visit have been ironed out. No more chile threads on food, much cooler, still noisy. We want this place to succceed, food is mostly very good. We did NOT like the avacodo cuke soup, I think it was buttermilk based and too tangy. We LOVED the burgers. Wine list is really overprced and some of the food is as well. Wings were very plentiful and a good price. Tres leche was dry (really, you soak it in 3 milks how can it be dry?) and for $12???
Overall experience was fine. My adult daughter and I thought we would try it out -- first time there. Some issues: very, very noisy --they need to add some noise absorbing materials. Hot day and the sun was coming in the windows heating up the small dining area and glaring into our eyes, which made it fairly uncomfortable. Avocado and cucumber soup was excellent, stuffed jalapenos were not so good, soft shell crabs were excellent, and my daughter enjoyed her pork belly small plate. Love the quinoa. My daughter said she thought it was a better atmosphere for happy hour with her friends -- margaritas and small plates. We aren't so sure about it being a great place for dinner. You really cannot hear anything being said at your table. I am not a fan of wait staff being overly friendly and engaging in small talk, and there was too much of that.
New place with a few minor kinks to work out. The portions are good. Feed was excellent. The day we went the outside temp was about 100F. The A/C was working overtime and we noticed it dripping on the table in the center of the dining room. The party sitting there asked to move to another table. Several minutes later another party was seated at the same place with other tables available. C'mon folks. If you're going to charge premium prices, you need to provide premium service. I have a feeling that 14 Global will be a successful Bethany business if they pay attention to detail.
Walked in by chance for a late lunch and gastranomical delight!New rival to Blue Coast. Fabulous avocado and crab soup, followed by the best soft shell salad on the Delmarva Peninsula on top of a decent wine list. We will have it on our "camp out" place each summer.
Great addition to the Bethany scene. Food and service were great. Got there at 8:30p on a Tuesday evening and walked right in. It is a bit noisy but there were no "wild" children present. I'll be back
My food was delicious. I went around 8:30 on a weekday evening. There were a fair number of people inside and all the tables outside were taken. The avocado/cucumber soup was excellent,(licking the bowl did cross my mind). I also had the crispy pork. That was my favorite. A great blend of flavors, esp the brussel sprouts. I'll be back to sample more.
Every nice concept for beach staff excellent work on the ceaser salad... Could not enjoy friends or food because the room is too Noisy
Hang some drapes add carpeting .... if you do go eat outside

Mostly our experience was very positive. We just spent $100 for 2 of us, with alcohol. There were way too many unrestrained children running around for this type of restaurant and it was hot! They need to shade front (sedona had this issue when they first opened). The other negative was the chile shred garnish, really not edible although it looks nice. Food was very good. Escolar with yummy blue potato and corn pancakes, whole bronzino ( you can keep the black quinoa), cheese and charcuterie, and yummy banana dessert. Up to management to decide if they want to control kids running around and up the atmosphere to coincide with the very adult and trendy menu.
Ate here on Tuesday 6/19. The food and service were excellent. Particularly liked the fried goat cheese balls, the deconstructed cheese steak, and the crab rangoon. I think this is a great addition to the Bethany restaurant scene.
We went on 6/16/12 for a late lunch. Sat at the bar and enjoyed every bite! Different twist on the menu, great variety and stupendous service! The sweet potato soup was fantastic.
