BETHANYRESTAURANTS.COM REVIEW
We would call this an American/Seafood restaurant. It has a lower bar and tabled eating area and an upstairs finer dining area, though the menus overlap. When the "new" Magnolia's reopened a few years ago we tried it several times with great expectations, but were often disappointed with the quality of the food and service. However, based on our last few visits, both have improved. We hope the trend continues. In Ocean View on Cedar Neck Rd, near the G&E.

We had nachos that were burnt.
We complained and they took it back and brought us a new order. Guess what it was the old order with more cheese.
I'll never return.
Go to any other restaurant.a
Bob - posted: Saturday, December 1st, 2012 @ 4:51 pmGuess I'm not local enough....got there at 5:30 for the Happy Hour Lobster 10.99 special offered from 4pm to 7pm ...only to be told that they were sold out... so we sat at the bar ... and ate something else... 5 minutes to 7 ...a couple walks in and orders the lobster, and they got it....It seems that they were allowed to call in the order earlier during the day. Yet when I called that afternoon... I was told it was on a first come basis.....
I will have to find someplace else on Tuesday nights...seems they have different rules for different people. To Bad cause the place use to be so much fun!

Wish i could remember her name. We sat in one of those long booths near the bar. It was a little noisy, but we had fun.

My youngest daughter and I had the seafood combination platter and it was excellent. My eldest daughter had the stuffed shrimp and thought it was also excellent and she went to culinary school. The prices were not out of line and the atmosphere was excellent. We will be sure to frequent Magnolias every time we visit the area.
